COWS THAT ARE TREATED WELL PRODUCE QUALITY DAIRY PRODUCTS

We have 600 traditional and 250 organic cows that graze on pasture, and eat alfalfa, corn, soybeans and wheat–and neither farm uses rBGH. The farms they live on produce corn, soy beans, alfalfa and wheat.

Ice cream lovers will also get to enjoy an expanded offering of ice cream flavors. We’re excited to embark on our newest venture and look forward to your next visit.

Traditional Milk

Ice Cream

We start by combining our traditional milk with cream and sugar in our large blend tank. From the blend tank the ice cream mix is pasteurized at 176 degrees and sent over to our finished product blend tank.

Our farms are placed on 1700 acres, over 2.5 square miles, of pasture and fields of corn, soy beans, alfalfa, and wheat.

farmstead milk bottling business that opened its doors in 2008 on the Baerwolf family farm located north of Sun Prairie.

From Hwy 151, take the Bristol Rd. (Hwy N) Exit. Head North on Hwy N. We are 6 miles north of Hwy 151 off of Hwy N on the left hand side. You can’t miss us!

Stop in for Ice Cream

Our Creamery Store is located 20 minutes north of Madison and roughly an hour from Milwaukee. We bottle milk and make ice cream Monday through Friday. At our Creamery, you can see how we bottle our farmstead milk through our large viewing windows. While you’re here be sure to try an ice cream cone with our 20 available flavors. In addition to our Sassy Cow products, we offer a large variety of Wisconsin cheeses, chocolates and other treats. During the summer we have a calf and other farm animals at our creamery for you to meet and have outdoor activities for the kids. Tours are available for booking every Thursday, Friday, & every other Saturday in June, July, and August.
